Online travel buying is all about getting the best deals. Dreamcheaper takes a rather interesting but controversial approach.
Here is how it works:
- You book your hotel on any platform – just make sure it can be cancelled for free
- Forward it to dreamcheaper.com and they continuously check for cheaper rates and rebook the reservation.
- They charge 20% of any savings they make on your booking.
Simple as 1,2,3…right? And music to the ears of travellers, but a rather annoying buzzing bee for OTAs and hotels?
TechCrunch asks if it will become the hotel booking industry’s “most hated start-up,”
USA Today says it has generated real industry disquiet.
Certainly an interesting one to watch.
